One of my very first canine clients was a sweet and lovable black Labrador.   He was 13 years old at the time and very very tired from battling arthritis.  His coat was dull and course, he walked with his head down, dragging his back paws barely having enough energy to walk outside to relieve himself.   After the first massage, we saw such a difference!  He was no longer dragging his back paws, he was holding his head up, and he could lift his leg to relieve himself (which he had been unable to do for a long time)!   After the second massage we noticed he had a lot more energy and his coat was soft and shiny!  He actually wanted to stay outside and take a walk!

“ Sadie, Chocolate Labrador with hip dysphasia and arthritis:  could only hop using both back legs when she tried to run and was in pain, I couldn’t afford monthly medication, so I looked into pet massage.  Sadie was not very receptive to the first massage, however, I tried it again the following week.  The second massage we noticed she was much happier than she had been in a year.  By the third massage Sadie's’ hips were moving fluidly again.  She was running normally and playing like a puppy.  Now Sadie looks forward to her bi-weekly massage sessions and waits at the door with her toy to play fetch.”  Chris Rankin, Chapin, SC.

Bear, Labrador mix; “In September 2007 Bear was walked during the hottest part of the day while I was on vacation and his

paws were severely burned. Although we

began veterinarian treatments upon my return,

Bear became depressed, overweight, was

having difficulty getting around and

constantly injuring himself. To further

complicate his treatment, we discovered Bear

was allergic to petroleum based topical products.

Then I met Lisa and immediately set up weekly massages for Bear.  He was apprehensive during the first massage and would not let her touch his paws or his face, however, by the second week he started waiting for Lisa at the door ˝ hour before the scheduled appointment.  Bear is running and playing again and is no longer depressed.  A fatty tumor he had on his belly has disappeared.  He even loves to have his paws and face massaged.  His groomer noticed that his toes were flexible again for the first time in over a year, and he no longer growls when she cuts his nails!”   Hilda Booth, Columbia,SC

Barnes, Yellow Labrador with sponalosis of the spine: “Well after you left yesterday, Barnes came into the office and laid down on the floor for a nice long peaceful nap.  No moaning, no need to be on the loveseat, no figeting around trying to get comfortable.  He just seemed very relaxed.  It was great!” Anne Manchester—Lexington, SC
